Most links to the products we review are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy or sign up — sometimes within a set window, not necessarily on the same visit — the merchant pays us a small commission. You never pay more for using our link; in many cases the merchant's price is identical whether you find them through us or search for them directly.
Some links, particularly to newer partners we haven't been approved for yet, are plain non-affiliate links. Where that's the case on a given page, we say so.
We choose which products to feature and how to rank them before we know — or regardless of — which one pays a higher commission. Our recommendations come from hands-on testing against the criteria in our testing methodology: value for money, feature completeness, ease of use, customer support, market fit, and reputation.
If a product with a lower commission rate is the better fit for a reader, we recommend it anyway. We've turned down the temptation to feature a worse product for a bigger payout, and we intend to keep it that way — it's the only thing that makes an independent review site worth reading.
Software pricing, plan limits, and features change more often than we can instantly update every published page. Every comparison shows the month it was last tested, and we revisit pages on the schedule described in our methodology. Even so, treat the prices on our site as a strong estimate, not a guarantee, and confirm the current price and plan details on the merchant's own site before you pay.
Affiliate links to the products we recommend are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code (a technical tag search engines use to identify paid or commission-based links) and typically appear as the prominent "Start Free" or "Get [Product]" buttons in our comparisons.
